Unlike places like Marrakesh or Fez, Tetouan attracts few tourists. One can explore the continuous labirynth of white washed streets without the pressure to buy objects. However Tetouan stands out with it’s white look and authentic atmosphere: besides medieval medina with an intricate network of narrow streets and luxurious Al Andalus style palaces there is modern spanish part with straight, broad palm shaded lanes and exlusive blend of moorish, arabic, berber and spanish cultures.
